Structured Finance – Energy Origination, Associate

The main task of the London based Associate position is supporting the team’s origination efforts in the European Energy sector (especially Onshore and Offshore Wind, Solar and battery storage).The team is client facing and the interface between the external market and new business opportunities for the bankAssisting the structuring and execution of complex international project finance transactions in the renewable energy sector, with support from senior team membersKey tasks includes cash flows modelling, financial analysis, due diligence, review/negotiation of documentation with key stakeholders and clientsAssisting in pitching process, including preparation of bid packages, pitch books, pricing & profitability assessments, ratingsLiaising with key internal stakeholders on new transactions, including Risk, Distribution, Agency, Compliance, Portfolio Management, Legal & TreasuryExecution of mandated transactions until Financial Close, including liaising with external advisors and clientsAssist the team in general marketing and ancillary activitiesEnsure compliance with London Branch AML and Compliance Handbooks and other job relevant policiesNewly created Associate role in a growing structured finance divisionSupporting origination, structuring and execution processes across the teamPrior experience in relevant financial servicesExperience in structured and/or project finance – ideally in an origination roleStrong credit skills essentialSignificant analytical and excellent client facing/commercial skillsStrong financial modelling skillsEuropean language skills are beneficialFinancial Services – BankingAssociate level roleResponsible for origination, execution and deal structuringCompetitive salary and benefits package
