TGRC has partnered with one of the world’s largest power producers, where they are active in over 40 countries.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and emerging team with the support of an international group with ambitious objectives and exceptional growth resources!Key Responsibilities:You will be tasked with developing the Greenfield in-house portfolio.You will identify new opportunities and secure land, along with any necessary pre-feasibility qualifications.You will conduct thorough assessments of a site’s potential for renewable development, including an in-depth examination of environmental, policy risks, and the business case.Managing the entire project process from conception to EIA production, review, application submission, potential appeals, and discharge of consent conditions in a diligent and effective manner.You will engage with the public, organize and conduct public consultation events, and present projects concisely to surrounding communities.Understanding the relevant planning processes in each UK jurisdiction and how cost, time, and policy factors influence projects commercially or economically.You will ensure detailed reporting and maintain full control of your projects, ensuring all internal process milestones are met on time to deploy the budget efficiently.You will provide up-to-date and precise project development reporting for top management to make decisions.Obtaining relevant approvals from Management in a timely manner for projects to progress positively.Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, and monitoring and implementing payments.As needed, you could be required to support the due diligence processes regarding portfolio acquisition/ partnership negotiation, bringing in, in particular, your acute knowledge of the permitting of projects to effectively assess the quality of a portfolioDesirable:Degree (Master or Diploma) in engineering, business administration, economics, law, or comparable studies, planning consultancyTechnical expertise in onshore Wind or Solar PVExcellent up-to-date granular knowledge of Project development steps, including Permitting, land contract, grid connection, etc., from origination to ready-to-build.Previous experience with Wind or Solar PV development projects, experience in managing the consultation processes, including preparing for and attending pre-application council consultations, managing statutory and non-statutory consultees;Demonstrable experience in delivering planning approvals with UK and Irish planning systemsExperience of NGET/DNO connection processes; Experience in managing consultants and external suppliers; Using GIS systems as well as third party/statutory sources of spa al, environmental and planning information;Fluent in English.
