Production Operator – Power StationCirca £30,000 – £34,000 + benefitsThetford, NorfolkMC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting a Production Operator to join a biomass power station Thetford in Norfolk. The responsibilities you will undergo as a operator covers a wide range of operational activities to ensure the plant is efficiently hitting targets in a safe manner.As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Perform consistent inspections and checks around the plant, ensuring maximum performance of machinery.
- Assisting the team with startup/close of the plant.
- Training on different systems including DCS (Distributed Control System).
- Operating a range of plant machinery including FLTs, Excavators etc.
- Maintain a safe, clean orderly plant condition at all times.
- Performing all these duties on a day/night shift pattern basis.
To be considered for this role you should have:
- A completed apprenticeship or qualification (C&G, NVQ) in a relevant field.
- Mobile plant skills helpful but not necessary.
- Military engineers are encouraged to apply (Navy, RAF and Army.
- Basic maintenance skills (mechanical or electrical).
- Happy working 12-hour shifts pattern that includes both days and nights.
- Willingness to develop and learn new skills.
