We bring the knowledge and skills required to deliver this through a holistic, robust and accountable approach.About this roleWe are looking to recruit an apprentice to join our energy consultancy team based in our London Head Office. They will work with an established team who tackle a wide range of energy projects across the UK.The job holder will have the opportunity to work on key technologies such as onshore wind, solar PV, battery storage, electric vehicles and emerging technologies such as hydrogen.The role offers great variety and will encompass a diverse spectrum of work including;
- Supporting our Development Advisory team in carrying out GIS based site searching and feasibility studies, and assisting with negotiation of land agreements for a range of technologies
- Working with our Consultancy team in connection with the provision of advice relating to grid availability
- Support and research tasks related to our Valuations and Transactions business
Supporting the team in a variety of tasks including:
- Assisting in representation of property owners in promoting sites for renewable energy development opportunities
- Assisting in working with clients’ solicitors to agree terms for option and lease agreements for renewable energy projects, access or cable rights
- Assisting infrastructure and renewable energy developers to build their pipeline of projects, by identifying and securing sites, and subsequent project management
- Assisting the wider team in valuations, transactions, management or energy audits
- Supporting commercial negotiations by collecting comparable information
- Working with colleagues to assess renewable energy opportunities on clients’ property portfolios
- Policy analysis and research of key technologies/sectors
- Assisting in report and tender writing
- Developing their own network
- Travelling and attending meetings across the UK and Ireland
In addition to the tasks described above, the job holder may be required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.Working WeekFive full days in the office, working hours 9:00am to 5:30pm. One of these days each week will be dedicated to university led study whilst in the office.How you’ll make an impactGood communication and organisational skills are vital to succeed as an apprentice. You will need the ability to manage a varied workload when working with different members of the team. It is also important to feel confident when using your own initiative, and being passionate about delivering the best service possible for your team and clients.The successful candidate will have the following skills:

GCSE English and Maths at Level 4 (Grade C) or above is a mandatory requirement and you may not apply if you are currently studying for or already have a degree. You will also need a minimum of 96 UCAS points.You must be eligible to live, work and remain in the UK, within 1 hour’s commute of the office you are applying to.A driving license is desirable, but not essential.Training5 year training programme (Level 6 Apprenticeship), which includes a part time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled at the beginning of your 3 rd year at University) leading to become a Chartered Surveyor with an RICS qualification.On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully.Career developmentOnce you’ve successfully passed your APC and become a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), you’ll continue to receive training and career development opportunities.
